sunray inline probe

3bet

New member
hello. I couldn't find the appropriate place to post this. What are the advantages on a sunray probe over a propointer? from what I have read, it seems they can ID the metal similar to discrimination on a detector. is this accurate? thanks.

Yep ..you got it...works just like a small coil...best thing ,ever made....take it easy!!!

Yep what mascard1 said. Its able to discriminate same as your coil, not like all other pin pointers which are in all metal mode.

It is a 'y' switch that toggles your coil and the near one inch coil in the pin pointer. It uses the detector's electronics, settings and headphones or speaker you are using to hunt with. What ever settings you have for the hunt- discrimination or AM are available to the pin pointer. They seem REALLY popular on E series Minelabs selling like hotcakes at $2-300. I have tried a couple times to sell mine for the CZs at $100 and hardly a nibble. Sigh.
Hope this helps.

Use the display, headphones, never lose it or forget to bring it, don't need seperate batteries, it's a quality & waterproof instrument, handy, don't need a seperate pocket or sheath. I like mine bunches.
