I saw this on Minelabowners.com portal and thought I would pass it on I think this a sweet mod never did like the cable on the outside HH RonC

These are called the half boots and seem to last longer than the other ones as it seals around the shaft of the switch instead of the whole switch.
 
Did anyone do this mod and what did they use to cut the hole. I think this is a great idea but do not want to make a mess of things and I also am a bit concerned about leaving a very sharp edge around the opening.
