Sunray x-12 coil

I was wondering how much depth increase is there between the stock coil and the sunray 12 inch coil.

The X-12 is really good with deep coins tilted or on edge but the 14" gets so deep that it is hard to believe that there is a coin in the hole. Both are excellant coils. I am not sure which one I would choose over the other.

Hard to say but the pricey Sunray 12 inch coil does provide superior coverage and extra depth depending on your settings and of course the mineralization in your area...A no-brainer for beaches or large fields...

Well, most of us probably like to believe that the item we found with our "new coil" wouldn't have been found with the one we just took off. Whether it's true or not is anyones guess. I can say that I have found some nice items with my Sunray 12. I like it more for the stability it provides as well as the larger area it covers. My opinion is that it's money well spent. I had a 14" excellerator and sold it, I felt it was just that tad too big. I think the 12 provides the best when all are factored in.

I use the sunray 12 1/2" 95% of the time . I feal it'some awesome coil,it covers good ground, you get real good depth compared to the stock coil,& it's much lighter. All in all for land & beach hunting, wet sand & water you can't beat it. Ralph builds a great coil, money well spent. GG.
