Sunray X8 vs Pro Coil

Ok guys, can anyone tell me the deepest item that they have found with the X8? I like the Pro Coil, but I have experienced "ghost" signals and the drive me nuts. I have a Safari, but I thought I would ask here. I have the X8 and really like it because of the weight factor and it's a snap to pinpoint with, Oh yea, I'm mostly a relic hunter!!!!

I got a dime and two pennies in a coin spill today with a square nail between the coil and the coins. The coins were at 10" maybe a little more with the X 8. I like the X 8 better than the PC myself, much clearer crisper sounds imo. Also seeing how they both are DD coils it only makes sense to me the depth should be the same, I have found out that with the smaller coil I can run the sensitivity maxed out and have a lot less noise than a bigger coil covering more per sweep.

i used the X-8 exclusively for over a year. i wasn't finding anything below 6" with it, so i bought a 10x12 SEF. the difference was like night & day.

i bought a 6x8 SEF a couple months ago, and so far i'm liking it better than i liked the X-8

the 6x8 SEF got me a 1876-CC dime and a 1906 Indian Head cent yesterday :bouncy:

Humm that looks like a place ive hunted before Sang... Man those are nice coins. Did you find them in the woods there? By time i get home all those trees are going to be brushy again. I may have to make a run your way.

Dew

yep Dew, up in the woods there :ninja: thanks again. believe me, i worked for those coins!

and just to clarify, i really do like the X-8 coil. it's completely stable, accurate, and it hits hard.
