:super:My First Seated Libery Dime:clapping:

TONE JUNKY

New member
I didn't even know I had it until I got back & started cleaning my finds. I knew I had 2 coins that I couldn't ID in the field, but they usually turn out to be wheaties or very corroded clad pennies. After rinsing, I could make out "ONE DIME" on the back, but nothing on the front. After further cleaning, I could clearly see the date, 1876, & barely make out the Seated Liberty figure on the front. zzzhere's the pics:

What is on the front of the Coin? Looks like it was melted or something! Still a fantastic find and there could be another waiting for you on your next return trip. Good Luck and HH.
