surf shoes turned blue!

New member
I had left them out in the sun, I didn't know that at the time. They're made from wet suit type meaterial. Question is: are they still alright to wear since it's sticky and blue rubs off on finger. Can I recover them?

I read somewhere here that you can't leave wet suits out in the sun (only cheap types maybe?) so mabe the upmarket ones might be ok, like you suggested therick!

UV will kill your wetsuit, it will deteriorate and last roughly?? 12 months.
I wash mine out with fresh water and dry them inside the house out of the sun, Lasted 10 years before i had to replace it.. The back shoulder panel was starting to lose its integrity.. Thats the bit thats in the sun the most when I wear it..

Ah, thanks foot 69, that's what I was getting at.
Is there a wetsuit that doesn't deteorate? What about dry suits?
