Surfmaster Dual Field PI or Sea Hunter MK II

outdoors

New member
like the purchuse one of these detectors live in california (san diego) would like to hunt knee deep in the surf ... what are the pros and cons of these two machines.DOES THE DISCRIMINATION
really work or does it just hide good targets... Duel Field or Sea Hunter mk II

I have used both machines and they are both great machines and both go deep. The MK II is heaver, but hip mounting is a option, The MK II stock headphones will deafen you over time,

switching to the land Hp's will help. Garrett markets the MK II to have some discrimination, but in reality you need to dig all targets in standard mode.

Either machine, you will need a good scoop with a strong Earth magnet epoxy inside the scoop so you don't spend a 1/2 hour looking for

those nasty Bobby pins that seem to pop every 1/2 hour.

Good luck
