Surprise in the Mail (Where is Awhitster?)

I got an email from Garrett last week telling me that one of my testimonials was going to be used in "The Searcher." I hope it's the gold coin in bezel but I didn't ask figuring I'd enjoy the surprise. Steve (at Garrett) asked for my address and I figured I would get a thank you letter. This morning I received a nice surprise in the mail. They sent me two tokens of appreciation which were a real nice metallic ball cap (too nice to wear detecting) and a copy of their latest field guide which I'm sure I would have ordered. A big thanks to Garrett. This is another reason why I am so loyal.

I am happy to finally win a Garrett cap. I was going to try to win one from John but since Awhitster started on his winning streak I had to do it another way. Where are you anyway, Steve?

PS I had another find published in "The Searcher" last Fall and did not receive any such token. It must be a new program.

I'm still alive, thanks for asking. I never got anything when they posted my story. Congrats on getting yours posted. I was gone for a week. I am still un-packing. I will get a post together soon for the meager finds I have from NV.
