:surrender:"hot" rocks in the 90s, anyone else experienceing this?

The last two times I've been out with my T2 I have had signals come in around 95 that turned out to be rocks. This is puzzling, I expect to encounter hotrocks on the other end of the scale, around the teens or lower. Is anyone else encountering this and does anyone have any advice to "cancel" these signals out?

Tnredneck, I did check out the "any suggestions" and it did not seem to be the same situation. The rocks I experienced were isolated, most were decent sized---by that I mean fist size---and the two locations I mentioned are about 10 miles apart, though both are in woods. Also, while I get the signal and a number around 95, when I tried to pinpoint, the T2 would not do so. When I pull the pinpoint trigger and swing the detector over the spot, the sound disappears, I get two "hash marks" on my screen.

This really has me puzzled. Thanks for you read and help, I don't think I am any closer to understanding it, unfortunately.

I think we are both looking at similar items maybe a little different composition. Mine read in the 90's and they are rock like but smaller than yours ( the one i kept was a little smaller than a golf ball) Rhe oly thing is they will read depth but after i dig them up out of the ground they will disciminate and only read when i pinpoint. I have run into hot rocks before that only read the two bars as you said... sometimes you can lift your coil above them 4 inches or so an read them.

Tnredneck, I think you are right, essentially they are the same. Annoying, but something that can be dealt with. Thanks for the follow-ups and comments, most appreciated.

i never checked where they were coming in but while doing a little prospecting seemed to be hitting positive and negative hot rocks, by the different audio responses, these were quite large, like a foot, could not pinpoint on them, will have to pay better attention next time out there, the GB was anywhere from 61 to 87 over a couple of feet
