Found these today in a local park , next to the swingset and jungle gym ! "Pretty scary " Manager at the park office acted as if he could care less !! Insane !

Looks like someone is using it as a practice range,
Were they shot at any of the play structure ?

Was just at the wood chip tot lot myself with the Ace and found these boolits! At first I thought of giving them to the cops in case a crime was committed and they should go to ballistics lab.
But then it dawned on me... notice some of them are diagonally sliced like string beans? There is a gas check there, these are .30 cal rifle boolits, this means they were handloads.
My thesis? Target practice in an old tree out in the bush somewhere, cut down and sliced up by the wood chipper then blown into the tot lot inadvertently.
Elementary, my dear Watson! Did ya notice the .925 dolphin little girls pierced earring? Gee..Hope I'm not wrong and she was doing the target practise in the rough side of the playground!

Hey quartz you may wanna put on a bullet proof vest when you hunt that place!!:surrender:

Quartzsite, Your boolits were probably shot in the gravel pit where the sand for the playground came from. In my boolit finds, there was also .22 rimfires and copper jacket shrapnel from other calibers.
I'm sure you will find other dissimilar bullets in your sand.
