suspender clips

Noah Huebner

New member
I found these suspender clips today, and I was wondering how old they are. I am sorry the image is so crappy, my phone recently got dunked in the Connecticut River, and sadly it did not survive. My computer camera is pretty bad. In my searches of antique suspender clips, I could not find any clips with prongs like these ones. They are probably broken off, though.

Look closely on the back some have patent dates. Most I find are from the 1870's thru 1890's back east might be older.

Okay, Thanks. I found them in an old dump with an oil lamp part that has two different dates, one says 1868, and the other says 1869.
