Sweet music!.......

My son recently got a new instrument. He has been waiting a long time (over a year) to get it, and they finally came in. It was going to be after he graduated from high school, but he now will have it for his senior year. He plans to go into music, so it is good to have it now.
Kody's new Flugel Horn. It is kinda a cross between a Trumpet and a French Horn. It sounds like a mellow trumpet.. The boy can play!
He is a senior in high school and can play the trumpet, french horn, flugel horn, piano, congas, drums, harmonica, and those are just the ones I can think of!

Mike, as you know (since we've talked about it in the past), I wanted to go into music and be a band director, but opted for being a social studies/history teacher instead. I had a scholarship for trumpet so, I, too, play all the instruments you mentioned. I've helped with band programs for years, especially marching band, and love every single minute of it! Even though I am not teaching right now, I am still helping with our band program - and I LOVE it!!!! Music has always been such a major part of my life! Tell Kody CONGRATS on the new F-Horn! I'm sure he will do well with it!

Congrats Kody and I am not musically inclined but God has blessed you with the talent of playing any instrument that you want! I always wanted to play the piano but never having lessons, I just picked out the tunes from a book my cousin's mother had! She had a piano and we didn't and their farm was just down the road from ours! I'm not a singer either, for I have a tin ear! God gives us the talents He wants us to have and some can play and sing, while others can write stories, poems and etc. Praise God for His gifts to His Children to be used to glorify and praise Him! Amen! God Bless! Betty

He has been blessed with a God given talent. He now plays the drums and congas in the worship band at church, and will soon add the flugel horn to the team as well. He has done marching band, concert band, symphonic band, Jazz band, pep band and pit band. Loves it all but Jazz is his favorite.
