swing speed comparison Help

Can anyone out there help me with a swing speed question. The wife and I were debating, her F75 LTD and my E trac. if you are swinging over a quarter say at 5 inches , which will still pick up the coin at the fastes swing speed??? I am with the opinion that both would pick it up at a reasonablly fast speed but from using them both over the years I wonder if the f75 might not pick up the quarter when the speed was getting to fast for the etrac to lock onto it??? We have been playing with rush hunting at a few parks to see how quick we could run through the parks and cherrie pick the things when were limited on time. :) Thanks for the help.

I would say the LTD, but having never swung an E trac, I say the LTD knowing it likes and can handle a fairly brisk shoulder to shoulder swing. Also, its target response is quite a bit faster then the E trac's, I believe. HH jim tn

I have used both...... Weight and slow speed is why I now use the F-75LTD

Plain and simple Explorer is a slow sweep unit and the F series is a moderate to fast swing unit....

Lets not get into seconds per full swing etc...just lay a coin on the ground and raise the coil to simulate depth and you will be able to find out the approx. sweep for each for max efficiency...
Both are excellent units in their own right however difficult for the average person to own and use both from day to day and lets face it some of us are just fast or slow swingers by nature therefore either might suit one particuliar hunter because of the above....

Haven't used the E-trac; but will say that mode with the F75LTD can make a difference. BP likes a little slower swing than most of the other modes and CL is even slower, but still does not require a slow sweep to detect and beep. F75 likes a faster sweep than any other detector I've used.

Keep us posted on the observations you and your wife have!!
