Switched my old Eagle Spectrum from "C" cells to 6v Ni-Cd Cassettes

Took a trip to Radio Shack yesterday. I was going to get an 7806 voltage regulator but they were out. I saw the R/C toy 6v battery and charger for $11.69 on sale. I got it and a extra battery for $18 total. Came home and fashioned a holder for it inside of the battery area. I used two screws for the power terminals, and soldered them with old wire from a power supply to the Spectrum power terminals. Epoxied it all in and tried to make it some what neat looking. The 6v cassettes fit perfectly inside the case and the pressure foam on the battery door helps to keep it all in place. The plastic I used for the holder was just some old packing that came off a toy my son had.
