Swollen Cable ?

Has anyone else having a problem with there cable swelling in your ATX's

Ron, is it up under the arm rest? I had to send mine back to Garrett, mine got scuffed up bad from the shaft ends rubbing on the cable....glad I caught it prior to getting it wet one hunt. IF yours is swelling it could be that it was scuffed enough to allow water inside the outer casing..... can you post a picture? Here is what mine looked like.

My cable swell up so bad that the shaft won't close, so I called Garrett and they sent me a new coil , now it works fine !

What is going to keep it from happening again to the new cable?
The reason I am asking is that I am thinking about buying an ATX .

Garrett has the old coil wire and will find out why the cable swell up in the first plase.
