t-2 problem

I'm having with the mode button on my t-2. I have to push it several times to get the sensitivity mode to come up and then several times to get the disc. to appear. Don't know if it needs cleaning or is wearing out. Thanks for any help.
 
The problem has gotten worst. Now all I can do is use the machine in factory settings. The button seems to be moving when I push it but nothing appears on the screen. Is there a way remove the screen or the back. Thanks
