T-2 problems

I live in California and hunt demos all the time. One particular lot I hunt was plowed pretty deep and loaded with some iron and the T-2
worked very well then it rained. Now I get a overload signal in that entire lot. I tried everything to make it go away but nothing seemed to work. I also
get overload signals in rivers where the sand is not as fine as beach sand. Anybody else have this kind of problem?

a friend of mine in the u.k had the same problem after using his at a rally ,where it rained all day .he put in in the airing cupboard ,(where your central heating tank is) for a couple of days to dry out properly ,machine now perfect again .

i know my coil leaked when sumerged, had to dry it out in the oven

Try wiggling the coil cable connection going into the back of the control box. I had that happen a couple of times.
Think it's a bad connection.

I had a problem like that when we had a long stretch of humid air conditions.

Hi Jeff,

Denny's having computer problems and may be slow with replying but I did get a chance to detect the same lot the other day, This is the same lot he is having problems.

My T-2 worked great and didn't experience the problem Denny is having, He tried it again the other day and was having the same problem.

I'm heading to his location tomorrow and will drop off my T-2 so he can change coils. At least he'll now be able to narrow down the problem and send in the coil or complete detector if need be.

Turned out I have a bad coil. Sent it in today for repair.
