All I can say is wow. I put her together and went for a really short hunt. Disc mode , disc 5 , tones 2+ , sen 99.
They really did a number on this machine, power lines everywhere but none of the crazy chattering like my f70 would do in this same field. Lay her down to retrieve the target and the chattering started up till I started swinging again- I can live with that.
Maybe Dave j can answer a question about the audio, it seems a little low, not bad mind you but without headphones by a road I had a hard time hearing the external speaker. With headphones It still seemed like the volume has been reduced, but I did notice that deeper targets literally sounded deeper, shallow targets made the volume "normal" if that makes sense.so it was a nice surprise to hear a deeper target by audio cue- just a lower softer response.
This property is 525 acres, several pre civil war homesteads = a butt load of iron still managed to dig 3 out of 5 targets( two targets were in the" I may need a pickaxe and large shovel range.") I dug a ww2 30-06 cartridge at 5 inches, a two piece button missing the front, and a 1963 nickel shallow at 3 inches but laying amongst nails.
Nice and light to swing, it really locked on to the targets vdi numbers only got crazy on the cartridge but I am guessing it's length and rounded exterior had something to do with that. The button hit like a copper penny with numbers never jumping more than a digit or two as I swung at it from different angles.
Really can't wait to put some hours on this wicked little green machine.
