T2 Classic & NEL Sharpshooter coil

I know this has probably been asked but can you tell me how the NEL Sharpshooter coil compares to the stock 9x11 T2 coil? Is depth close to the same? How is it with EMI? I got a new T2 Classic about 1 month ago and i'm thinking about getting the sharpshooter coil and the 5" coil. My hunting is split about 50/50 between coins and relics.

Personally I like the NEL Sharpshooter better than the stock 11" coil. The 11" coil gets a lot of EMI and for but a few areas around me the larger coil just can not handle the number of targets, it is jumpy and the tone is very broken; making it hard to pull good signals out of the trash and iron. The NEL is a lot more stable in the EMI, but that is normal as it is a much smaller antenna. the 5" is even better in the EMI. The NEL works a lot better in moderate trash, but is large enough for general hunting. Depth is about the same, my air tests (so take them for what they are worth) showed the same or within 1/4" on target depth for both coils. Some coins the NEL worked better, some the 11" worked better, they pretty much averaged out. I find the 5" coil is much better for heavy trash and nail infested sites. The NEL struggles around the foundations at my home sites due to the square nails and iron debris, it nulls too much. I find it great for moderate trash and more open areas as it is smaller than the 11", but not too small so I get ok coverage. It is turning into my go to park coil due to the variety of conditions you encounter at the park.

If I lost the NEL I would buy another one tomorrow. It just seems like a good match with the T2 for park hunting and the perimeter around my older sites, especially for orbiting when looking for nail infested areas. If I go into the nails the 5" coil is my weapon of choice though.
