T2 Coil build?

I have both the T2 Classic and the T2 LTD. I just read that the LTD coil is "open" while the classic coil is "solid." Anyone know what this means? Thanks!
 
The stock coil on both machines is the 11"DD biaxial with an open web design. The solid or fully enclosed coils are the 5" and 10" elliptical coils.

All the T2 11'' coils are open,the smaller 5'' one is solid but cannot comment about the 10'' coil as that does seem to not be a popular coil,most folks tend to go for aftermarket coils like say the NEL Sharpshooter and similar ones.
