T2 Gets Gold and Silver

Lisa is starting to get the good stuff with her T-2!. Class ring from 1967 came from a 1940's yard. Sterling and 14k with stones were both found in parks.

Haven't had any experience personally with the F4 or F75, however, we have hunted with a friend that bought a F75. It seems the F75 has some pretty cool settings and displays to go with the bigger price tag but, the two machines seemed to be very comparable in terms of depth and performance. The F75 has the option of a small coil which we REALLY WISH was available for the Teknetics. I have seen quite a few disappointment stories and cases where machines had to be sent back with bad coils (including our friend's). But then again, the T2 went through some of the same issues in the beginning.

Lisa primarily uses the machine while I hunt with the Xterra. I have been known to sneak out with hers and have always done well with it. I'm very impressed with the depth, accuracy of the pinpointer, and the machine's ability to handle a very quick sweep speed. Lisa pulled a very small Utah Tax token up yesterday about 6" in some really poor soil conditions. We'll get some pics. up soon.

My experience is that the T-2 is a little like riding a dirt bike vs. a Harley. Your gonna get a little extra noise and a bumpier ride but, it's raw performance kicks butt!! We''ll keep ours for a long time to come!

Sorry for the late reply, we've been away from the forum for a few weeks. Lisa sets up in discrimination mode, sens. set as high as the machine will allow, discrimination set in the mid 40's, and I believe 4 tones. She pays alot of attention to the channel select option to avoid interference. We have found that the lower she sets the discrimination, the more the machine will tolerate high sensitivity.

Hope this helps.
