T2 going into Overload

RogerW

Member
This is a older T2. Seems to operate ok until I get into moist/wet grass conditions. After a short time the Overload - raise Coil message appears and the siren is on. Cannot reset the unit by turning off/on. After perhaps an hour or so of inactivity the unit can be turned on ok. Have attempted to examine the coil and connector and could not find any gaps/cracks. Any ideas or recommendations appreciated.

If you have another coil I would try that. If it hunts fine until wet, it’s more than likely the coil wouldn’t you say?

Yeah, it most likely the coil. I have and Omega that did the same exact thing and F T replaced it for me. HH jim tn

I agree with others that this sounds like a coil problem. You should be able to find a friend that has a compatible coil that you could borrow to see if indeed your coil is faulty.

Visited with Teknetics and they are also in agreement that the coil is defective and will replace. Thanks everyone for your response
