T2 is deep....

After coming close to selling my T2 out of frustration i have been reading and rereading the manual and making slow adjustments if needed.

My brother and i went to where an old town park used to be back in the day. First signal I dug was a wheat penny at about 7 inches. Second diggable tone was another wheat cent at about 5-6 inches.

The 7 inch signal and subsequent coin was amazing to me. A little cent at 7 inches sounded out loud and clear. I am starting to like this machine. :)

I can hit a cent at 9 inches with my Delta 4000 and my 11" DD coil... (Just dug an Indian Head at that depth two days ago) I hope the T2 is deeper than that given the cost!!!

One dig does not define a machines capabilities. Location, and conditions at the moment will play a factor in depth.

The T2 is a tricky machine to run! Once you figure out how it likes to run you will be amazed with the performance! It works good all the time but once you learn the little adjustments you need to make for the different ground conditions it turns into a deadly weapon! I dug a 1876 indian head penny at a ft deep with sense at 76! You have to have the machine ground balanced perfectly to achieve maximum depth and performance! My advice is you cant run the same settings all the time with the T2 or you will leave allot behind! I felt the same way you did about the machine the first month of using it! Now that I have learned how to manipulate the machine to the ground conditions Im hunting, it has impressed me everytime out! I have went back to sites that I was sure where fished out and pulled all kinds of keepers out! I absolutely love my T2 and prob wont touch another machine for a long time! It took me a good 3 months of hunting all the time to learn when I need to make the proper adjustments! Also different DISC setting play a dramatic role in the depth you are achieving! Most machines lose depth the higher you run the disc! The T2 does too but there are some exceptions! There are a few different settings that put the T2 into an overdrive mode! I dont know if this was made to do this or it just happened but when you run the disc at 50 you get a substancial boost in power. This also happens at disc 5. When you run these settings you will pick up more interference because of the power boost! I like running the T2 very hot! This allows me to pick up the deep coins even if there shallower trash and modern coins on the surface. I then go back with the sense down and pull out the shallow targets! The T2 has allowed me to find way more silver and gold finds then I could have imagined! If you are hunting for gold you really have to run hot! Gold doesnt create the halo effect as good as the other metals so there for its not as coductive and doesnt put off as good of a signal. The T2 seems to be a copper and brass magnet! I am shocked at deep it picks up copper! You really have to pay attention to the audio of the T2! Once you are familiar with all the sounds you will know if there is something worth diggin down there. Silver tends to make a distinct sound and once I learned what to listen for I started pulling way more silver coins! I was always told to make a test garden to learn the sounds but targets dont behave the same in a test garden because it takes years for precious metals to create the halo effect. You also cant rely solely on the visual ID because if a coin is laying a certain way of close to other metals it wont be on point. I rely more on the audio then the ID! If you ever have any questions feel free to message me and I will share my experiences. This is just what works for me. Every person likes to run a machine a certain way. I try to run the machine how it likes to run!

are you leaving the louder sounding targets when you use the higher senistivity. wouldn't it be better to dig them all instead of going back for the shallow ones. thanks.
