T2 questions, new versus old and target ID

have a couple questions about the T2.

1. I read alot about the you can't go by the VDI numbers. Are they accurate at all and if so at what depths do they start dropping off.

2. Is there really any difference between the Older T2 and the newer released T2 classic? Does the newer model handle EMI better ? More stable ?

Just thinking about selling a Quattro and getting a T2. Could really use the faster recovery speed of the T2 but, the Quattro has some great depth with good id.

Your experience appreciated.

Thanks everyone

1. 8"-9" for steady ID's
2.The newer T2 Classic is very stable and EMI free. Has built in DST.
3. Get one and you will not miss the Quattro the new T2 Classic kicks butt.

I forgot to mention the faster you sweep the deeper it goes.

The T2 Classic is an excellent iron hunter. Anyone that likes to hunt in a beep-dig mode should really try this machine. It is deep in iron on non-ferrous and ID's "good enough". Whatever they did with the DST improvements really changed the game.

Not sure on the info about them not being accurate on VDI numbers but the one I had which was the T2SE was more accurate than the Garrett AT pro I had . also a lot deeper . when I got a good solid tone but no ID I dug no matter what . did this many times and dug a very nice half dime at well over 11 inches

What is the latest version of the T2 Classic?
Anyone on here have one that was built in the last month or two that they can check?
Thanks

Bryan

Bryan I think any that were made in 2016 are all hot from what I've read and seen mine is a 3/16 model and it is a awesome machine. Keith Southern's is 12/16 and from his post talking about his machine mine mirrors his in performance. I know one thing these T2 Classics are a heck of a machine. FTP knocked it out of the park with these machines.
