T2 Questions

Liking my T2 so far but have a couple of questions. Sometime when sweeping the ground a good sound comes up but nothing on the screen, even when I make multiple passes. Also how far off the ground is best when sweeping the coil. I try to run mine at 39 disc so how many tones should I be using, most of the area that I go to is pretty trashy.
Thanks

It has been noted before that the T2 has separate Audio and Digital ID..
The Audio sounds off deeper than the Digital can do an accurate ID. If it sounds good dig it... It may be a not so valuable target..but it also might be a valuable deep target.

I have found some coins on edge do not always ID .Coins and or other items that are deeper than 10/12 inches will sound off but not always ID on digital screen.

I have found that some Jewelery items made of different metals sometimes do not Id but sound off in audio tones depending on the depth.

Elton pretty much covered the audio, visual question. Very seldom in my hunting with any detector do I get many hits that don't flash some numbers except for very deep targets. Tone(s) are a matter of preference. I mainly old coin hunt so I like multi tones as the high and mid tones alert me to check the vid. In trashy spots frequently a high tone tic intermingled with lower tones can be a good target co-located with iron or some trash. A firm determination for digging, though, should be from tone first and foremost. Screen target id is just another tool to use and is pretty accurate on the T 2 down to 6" or so, if I recall correctly. I swing my coils just brushing the top of the grass. HH jim tn
