t2 value

For one thing, if you consider the detector sells for $800 and accept that an average used price is around $500, then the "hit" is about 38%. That's not really way out of line for the "typical" depreciation. Most used prices average at least 30% less than street price. I think this above average degree of price erosion is based more on a few perceptions whether one agrees with them or not. None actually represent a "fault" of the detector since it performs as intended. One is that there is more market buzz around the subsequently released F-75 but that's a detector that sells for $140 more, so any comparisons aren't really apples to apples but it did lead to some cannibalization. I think there was an above normal number of folks that bought the T-2's and then that made for more than usual number of used T-2's that came to the used market as folks intended to move them to try the F-75. Simple market dynamics dictated that the used price of T-2's would be discounted more than usual. Also, I believe that the T-2 and F-75, being more sensitive than the average bear prompted a few more than usual of the buy and try types to get off them and go back to "quieter" existing units. The good news is I personally think the higher than average depreciation is an opportunity for the consumer to pick up a more than capable detector at a discount to the market. A good thing on the surface for consumers and a not so good thing for the manufacturer. It happens occasionally.

i think there a steal at that price, remember the first ones i think were released a little early, been 2 updates to the present R-6 revision. i was pretty good with my qxt which i liked better than my fathers XLT, for trashy sites, ive tried my buddys xt-70 nice machine but like the T-2 much better. thompy
