T2 version ??

I know this has been posted but i cannot find it.
I just got a t2 and would like to know what version it is, ( 6.0 6.6?) but i dnt know hot to check it. How do i find out what version i have.

OK---Shut the machine off--push the trigger forward with your index finger & hold it forward---push the menu button & hold it in (hold both in at the same time).---Now turn the machine on while still holding the trigger forward & the menu button in.-----The upgrade (re-vision) # will come on your screen.-----Is your T2 new?---Let us know what # you get.----My T2 is one of the new ones that came out in this last batch & my # is 6.5----------Del

Great, you got one of the new ones.---I have tried my best to find out & still don't know just what the difference is in those different #'s (don't think anyone else really knows either).----I think it would take DJ comeing on & explaining it before we would really know.-----Bottom line is--they all work & work really well.-----Enjoy your T2! -------Del

Mine are both 6.0, which means they haven't been weather proofed. The 6.5 has, and the 6.6 comes on in All -Metal mode. I could very well have part of this confused.

Mine is also new and a 6.5 revision number. So is the brand new T[sup]2[/sup] that is the Grand Prize in our 2010 Fund Raiser Contest. Somebody's going to enjoy a fantastic detector, especially for some serious Relic Hunting!

With decent weather here for many of us we ought to start seeing more reports coming from in-the-field results with T2's, Omegas, Gammas, etc., etc.I know I'm ready for some non0urban hunting and hope the weather hold for this weekend at an old logging town in the coast range.

I have a 6.6 and it comes on disc..but its a year old..the 6.5 are the ones out now but they may be a by product of the over seas gold rush...

I was told they come on in all metal to simplify the ground balance and most people would hunt gold in all metal..( Makes it easier to use if you can't read English!!!!)

But I believe the version numbers aren't in sequential order once they went past 6.0..

They all are the same though performance wise..

Keith---I'm sure you're 100% right on that.----They were useing them in the gold fields & haveing all metal first would be the natural/convenient thing.---And we all know where so many of them went to & at sky high prices.-----I kinda wish mine would come on in disc though! -------Del
