T2se headphones what brand works best

c t

New member
Curious as to which headphones work best on a t2se I currently have a pair of Sony phones but while they sound great on my minelab they sound low in volume and the t2 tones sound very tinny I got some info from another member about jolly rogers and they look great but pricy any input would be appreciated thank you

I use Killer Bees with all my detectors. Lifetime warranty and the cord is slightly longer than most other headphones. Gives me plenty of room when I set the machine down with the phones still on my head.

I've always wondered why the major detecting brand headphones(black widow, killer B's, Grey ghosts, Rtphones, SunRay Gold's, etc...) cost so much. Well, they are made real well, and they just plain sound better. With my detectors anyway. The way they fit your particular head and how comfortable they are to you are the major differences between any of the high end models. Yeah, they are pricey, but will last a long time if treated right. I use the single volume models as my hearing is still good in both ears. Limiters are nice if you hit a shallow aluminum can or big iron. You can't go wrong with any of the brands I listed IMHO.
Good luck and HH. Bob.

I have the Ratphones and they work great on my T2. However I understand from another post that they aren't made any more. I also have the Grayghost but don't have the same sound quality as the Ratphones.
Good luck and happy hunting.

l`ve tried most of the expensive phones and personally l use the little XP backphones, cheap and cheerful but unbeatable of sharp crisp tones, try em, around

I use the Killer 'Bs' and Black Widow`s great sound , good fit, pricy but worth the $$$.

Thank you everybody for the input I guess I will wait till I can get a pair of good phones I will be watching the form for something nice to come up for sale. Wishing all a great 2013 season. Ct

The concept in High Quality metal detecting starts off expensive,
The best you can get in Noise Canceling Head Gear (price a set of them, yes hearing protection, then customize them)
Then add a good quality set of speakers,
Change the ear pads to leather (Sun-Ray)
Re design the head band,
Put in a good set of volume controls (Not like junk Cal-Rads)
Put in a volume limiter (Sun-Ray Gold's)
Top it off with a Quality cable.
Add all that together and you'll see why a good set of phones cost so much.
