T2se sensitivity to Pro Pointer

Badger in NH

New member
Has anyone noticed that when carrying a Garrett Pro Pointer (turned off) that the T2se in will pick it up?

If I carry mine on my belt or in my coat pocket, I get a signal from it almost every swing, especially when in bp mode or all metal.

I'm 6'1" so it's not like I'm carrying it down low, too close to the coil.

Carrying it higher up on my body helps a little with the 11" coil but if I'm using the 15" SEF it still picks it up.

I could turn my sensitivity way down but that would defeat the purpose of detecting anything deep.

I've resorted to carrying the Pro Pointer in my back pack whenever I use the T2se.

I'm not complaining. It's a small price to pay for performance. It's just strange that none of my other detectors behave this way.

Just a thought, why dont you try changing frequency that may help in reducing or eliminating the problem.

Hi Badger this problem was talked of when the Garrett PP came out , with some F75 users.
I keep mine in opposite rear pocket on swing arm.

I keep mine in my waist pouch in front of me.
