T2SE Vs Omega

Beale

New member
I am a coin hunter, period. I do not relic hunt and probably never will. I hunt parks and schools even tot lots. I am looking to see which of these units would make the best coin hunting unit and why? Thanks Beale.

I don't have the T2 SE, but do have the F 75 LTD along with the Omega and for coin hunting, I pick up the Omega probably 7 out of 10 times. It doesn't have quite the depth of the T2 and F 75, but with it little lower frequency it just seems to like coins a little better and the Omega id's more accurately. When I got it I got the 3 coil package and find I use all 3 coils, just depending on the situation. The Omega really is a coin shooters delight. HH jim tn

I have the Omega and the T2SE
Been hunting primarily with the T2
I think it is quicker to respond and also more depth
I think the T2 is actually a little better with the EMI

BUT.... I pout the T2 away yesterday just to make sure i didn't forget how to use the Omega and Bam .. a nice gold 14 K wedding band

Solid 62 at about 2 inches deep

Both are great machines / if your coil is over it.... you'll find it

More precisely in what mode t2 is deeper than omega ?
Did anyone test the two detectors in the land of the same coin

In a park or a school I don't want to be digging 15 inch for a coin. I just want to know whic of the 2 will coin hunt the best? Once in a while find me a nice ring, Beale.

Beale-----To answer your middle sentence/question----(IMHO)----of those two detectors---the Omega.----And I have owned/used both of them, I'm not "taking away" from the T2SE--it's a great detector.----But for what you are wanting it for---my vote goes to the Omega--again, JMHO.--------Del

i have a T2(not SE) and an omega i love the omega but to me there's something weird about the T2, I think it could be emi, but the omega is what i grab when i go hunting mostly with the 11" coil

I've found gold and silver with the omega. I don't use the T2 as often as i thought i would, thought about trading it for a XLT.

the omega to me also seems easier to set up, i wish it had a light though

just my 2 cents

Thanks guys this is what I need to hear. It confirms what 2 dealers have told me. I think my next unit will be an Omega. I have really heard good things about it and y'all have confirmed it, Beale.
