T2SE

As I have read the T2 is an excellent relic hunter. But, do any of you have success with it at school yards, older homes in urban areas and parks where there are much more to contend with such as all the modern trash and not just iron??? IF so, would you be kind enough to share what settings work best for you.
If I purchase a T2SE, this would be my primary machine for some time and although I hunt mostly fields where old farms, plantation homes once stood, I do hit a park every now and then.
Thanks,
John

For relics they excel! They do well as coin shooters as well. The 5" coil that comes with the Teknetics T2 SE is amazingly deep and separates awesome. It can be a bit noisy if pushed to hard.

2 tones works well for me. Listen for good solid repeatable hits.

Feel free to give me a call with questions or a awesome deal on one! Thanks, Bart.

The fastest way to get your answers is to use the Forum's search functions. However, due to the way the Phorum software works...when you enter T2 or T2 SE in search box, nothing will come up.....you need to type it as.....T2*....T2 SE*...........also select....exact words & all dates....from the search parameters. Both of these units have been covered extensively here...........so your answers already exist.

Actually I have, I have read very much on the T2 on this forum and a couple others that I consider noteworthy of experienced users.
Not much covered in the way of trashy pull tabs, aluminum pieces, can slaw and tons of other modern trash. Ive read about how it has worked for many detectorist across the pond, hunting for the hammered silver amongst all the iron. I have read how well it handles the Iron here and how several of you set it up for your hunting sites, Ive read how Nasa Tom recommends using one tone and 21 disc in the thickest of iron, after you have hunted in the two tone mode to further pull some masked targets from the iron.
Ive used a Tejon, and it will hit on a very small non conductive piece of metal very deep, I bet this machine will do the same. So, I was hoping someone had used the T2SE as a primary coin hunter on older sites but in a modern urban area. I dont care to pull the clad. I can get a cheap detector and do that.
I have read some using it to hunt coins, and I have read some asking how well it is as a coin hunter. I was just wanting a bit more in the specifics, like I said, their hunting environments and what settings has worked best for them. I apologize if I maybe I wasnt specific enough, I think I have read every post on this forum and some others, lol.

I have the original T2 and hunt primarily schools and parks. My initial setting for these locations is disc 21, 3 tones and 60 and up on the sens. After I start searching and encounter a lot of trash I sometimes move the disc up to 62. This puts it in a boost mode but eliminates the pull tabs. It's a personal preference on the tones but I find 3 tones give a "solid" hit on coins and a high tone on all coins except zinc pennies. When I get the opportunity to hunt an older site I adjust to either disc 5 or 50. Both put the detector in the boost mode and it'll search a little deeper. How much? I don't know for sure but I pulled a civil war button at 12 inches that gave a solid two way signal. The T2 is an excellent coin machine, you will not be disappointed. You may wonder why my starting setting is disc 21? At 50 and 5 it chatters some and I prefer a silent hunt....just my personal preference.
