I don't have any special group here that I know and communicate with....I do know some of you and vice versa either through hunts, finds, other friends, all that good stuff....someone posted earlier about responding to posts...I AGREE WHOLE-HEARTEDLY...
that person was simply suggesting that we need to respond more to individual posts...personally the reason I post is to learn more...create dialog to network in TH'ing, etc. I'm not offended by no responses though its not a great motivator to be proactive.....
BUT THE REALITY IS PEOPLE POST FOR THE FUN OF GETTING A RESPONSE.
My experience with other forums is once I sense a small group that seems to be into their own little agenda then the forum comes and goes on those individuals......the group only broadens slowly....and certainly at no fault to those individuals...hey they they put in the time they should benefit...I'm not saying everybody's got to be one big happy family....that's unrealistic....however the answer is not more forums, that's like saying we need more country clubs.............
I have seen numerous questions here that have gone unanswered...had I known the answer I would have replied....the point is these new people are sticking their necks out as it is...and when you do something new there's that "hope for acceptance thing"......when that post goes unanswered I wonder what their impression of the hobby is.....
Also I know there's supposed to be a forum for each type of question (personnaly I think we have too many forums here, people want to hang out with those of similar interests, etc)but sometimes when someone posts something of a non-perfect question response then they get the "post that over there" thing...
I'm not sure which is better or worse no response or the one above...
Lastly I think this forum could use more random responses. People are too concerned about what they say,etc.... More responses stimulate communication..
I know there are people who will say I only want to get the information I want....well we narrow the hobby versus widen the hobby...
it's my opinion and others will agree and disagree... and with regard to more random posts:
off with their heads to the ones who disagree-lol.....
