Taking the Foam out of Headphones

New member
Since we are taking the foam pads out of hearing protection headphones when we convert the things detector headphones, we are losing some of the noise reduction they are designed to provide. I did a google search and there exists water proof foam which drys easily. Has anyone tried this in a headphone mod?
