By the look of the number of human corpses the nuggets don't come easy over there.
Interesting that they are finding the bigguns in a shallow lakebed. The surrounding country seems to be very mineralised with long ago eroded away mountains
 
At least one of those big nuggets although visibly quite large (maybe a couple of kilo's)seemed to be fairly light judging by the way the chap holding it was flicking it around between two and three fingers with a grip on the outer edge, which made me wonder if it that particular nugget was realy gold.
 
Dumb to bash it up like that...not as valueable now.
