tejon and cibola with manual GB is similar?

hello all Tesoro lovers, want detector for small items. use explorer and like it but in some situation its to slow. under bad have cibola but somehow dont like it after one year using it. few days ago tested tejon and cibola in my well know and with explorer worked iron place and found more targets---I suspected it--, but cibola was not so fast and not so clear on the targets as Tejon. my question is,do I have to buy Tejon or cibola after puting GB manual and changing to 18Khz can be the same Tejon? thank you Stasys

They seemed very different to me. The Tejon was more precise or black and white with discrimination while the modded cibola gave a more varied ( more grays ) response depending on the target = more information. In other words the modded cibola had an expanded vocabulary.

That was my experience. It did amaze me. Instead of just ignoring iron next to copper I could clearly hear the iron and copper was there. Makes it easier to pick good targets off of junk. That's the best I can explain it. I prefer more of the " black and white", but both machines have their advantages.

I guess it's a matter of which you prefer.

Anyone, Please feel free to post your alternate findings on the matter ... ;-)

I think you answered your question ...

I find the Tejon to be faster response and deeper than the modified Cibola. Cibola is more soothing to use, it runs very quiet and is very light swinging with the standard or 5.75 inch coil.

They are not the same.
