Tejon question

One of my friends I hunt with has a Tejon. Yesterday we hunt a place and he didn't dig up nothing but pieces of iron. He tried everthing he knowed and even set the descrimination up above pulltabs and got iron. I used a Bandido II and Doug used a Eldorado and din't have much problems with the iron. Jerry got the Tejon soon as they come out and has liked it but never been to a place with it like that. Doug checked it to make sure he ground balance it right and turned the sensetivety down but didn't help it. We don't have no computers but me and missus is at dauters for Thanksgiving and I told him I'd use hers to ask if anybody else had that happen and if anybody knowed what to do about it so if anybody can help write it down on here and dauter will print it for him.

Bob in ms had that problem at times with his Tejon when we hunted an old stagestop and inn site last Saturday, but Scotty and I also dug a lot of iron and we weren't using Tejons. That site is loaded with deep iron of all sizes and the ground was very wet, not a good combination for high gain detectors. If he hasn't had that problem with his Tejon before it likely was the ground conditions or some type of interference. I wouldn't worry about it if it performs well at other sites.

I have had the same problem with mine and I think one of the guys that posted about the wet ground is right. Here when the ground is wet down deep the nails get wet and read good. I have had a lot of problems with that but we have had our wetest year in decades in Virgina. May just have to live with it when the ground is wet.
