Tejon shares coils with the LST, would it be good at gold prospecting? The Tejon has good depth and a true ground balance, priorities in a nugget mach

It would do a fine job, the only downside would be having to manually ground balance whenever your ground changes. But to me that's really no reason to stop you from using the Tejón in the gold fields.

Seroius Nugget hunters really need a dedicated gold detector, maybe if your only going nuggut hunting for one weekend a year just to play around would be fine. . out in the gold bearing reigns of California the ground conditions can be extreme.

Manually ground balancing is frequent and often in the goldfields..... for that i use a Gold Bug 2 which is an analog machine like the Tejon..... the bug2 is set at 71kHz which is super great for small specs. I use the Vaquero and also wish i had a Tejon (both analog) for other hunts.
I also have a Whites GMT for the goldfiels with auto groundbalance and much more and does really good too but the gold bug 2 is my personal favorite for gold specks/nuggets.
I would still give the Tejon a try out there as it's about the same frequency as the first origianl goldbug and now the goldbug pro
