Tejon with 8"x 6" sef coil

Scottish Dave

New member
I managed to get an 8"x 6" SEF from e-bay just before Xmas. On new years eve, second time out with it and the last decent signal of the day I found a half sovereign 22carat gold of Edward V11 1910.

These fields I am using it on are heavily contaminated with iron rubbish etc, they were dumped on by the city council early in this century but some weird and wonderful things can turn up also. The coil handled the site very well, very good target separation and reasonably deep considering the size of the coil. It's early days with it but I'm very pleased with it so far and doubt if that will change.

Please excuse the pics they aren't very clear, the coin is much nicer looking than the pics show.

Hope the festivities went well for you all.

Davy
