Tejon with a wide muddy signal

I am running my Tejon at an old house site and I am getting a few wide muddy signals. I check
them over and still the same. I dig and then the same signal but nothing turns up. Is this just probably a large halo effect?

I get those also, with my Outlaw. Im assuming it is a halo effect from rusted iron in the ground. I always check my ground balance when this is occuring.

I did after checking every other variable. I was using my new 11x8 but when I switched to the 8x9 the puddle went away. A week later I scanned the hole that I dug again but found no tone. I just didn't want to leave anything deep in the ground. Rusty said that it might be a halo effect also. THANKS!!!

There are no hot rocks in this soil. I do though have quite a few iron targets coming out of the ground.
