The gray box and the red box mark 1. Same detector or just a change of color.
 
with the addition of the colored meter (same meter used on some Whites units) but internally exactly the same.
It may have been packaged with both the 7 1/4, & 10" wafer loop (many dealers offered it with your choice of either if you did not want both)
