Tek Omega 8500 coming out???

Sounds very much just like 'Hearsay' at the moment.

They are working on it now, according to Gene Scullion.

And the new Whites Treasure Master ($399) and Treasure Pro ($299), both 7.8 khz machines, the Master with 16 segments, the Pro with 8, are reality as well.

Didn't they make an 8500 in '82?

a modern Omega type circuitry.

Monte

Yes, currently in field testing.

I would expect a last summer release in Sept based of other FTP releases but you never know. New F series still aren't out the door yet.

Perhaps this is the model that will have the phantom 'boost' feature seen on some of the early renderings of the F44 display.

I hope that the new 8500 omega shares it's dna with the f19 and g2+. That would be a machine I would like to have in my stable!

Why not throw in different processes like the f70/Ltd2 as well for good measure. :)

I think we'll all hear more info soon. In our hands in August? I hope, the price is still close to current omega with everything they have added.
