Teknetics T2 Ltd settings

LaRelic

New member
Hi guys just picked up a teknetics t2 , would like to hear some recommended settings for relic hunting in iron infested sites. I live in south louisiana so are soil here is very neutral. Mainly concerned with which tones would be best and how much discrimination to use to get rid of most small iron nails etc... And should I run sensitivity as high as I can stand it? Thanks for any help! HH

Relic hunting I would always run mine two tone no discrimination and listen to it all and pick out the high tones amongst all the low tones of iron run sensitivty as high as you can till it starts to get chattery then back off till it stabilizes.

Thanks man sounds good! Can't wait to take it out for a test run!

I was running mine a little too hot at first. Causes more falsing. Actually much more productive to calm it down a bit. Most of the time now I am running sensitivity at 70 to 80 and disc at 10 in +2 in the trash. Really heavy trash I will go to 50 on disc and go to +1 and may have to turn down sensitivity a bit. The factory programming raises the sensitivity at 50 on disc. The actual boost mode really adds the depth if you need it or are hunting in higher grass but you have to slow down a bit and remember your recovery speed slows down so not the idea mode for trash but will get ya through the high stuff much easier. In the test garden I still have no problem getting a 9 inch clad dime with the sensitivity set at 60 with disc high or low in +2. In the open fields I usually run sensitivity between 85-90 disc at 10 disc in +2 or BP. I always have to back the sensitivity down a bit in BP but it is still goes deeper at lower sensitivity than it will running hot in the other modes. The little 5" coil rocks. It will nail a 9 inch dime with stable settings. The 5 inch will allow the sensitivity to be cranked to 90 without falsing or undue chatter most of the time. It is amazing how stable it seems with the 5 and still has incredible depth.

Thanks TNGUNS just going to take a little practice. I've got the 5" coil but have not tried it out yet. I have a pounded iron infested site that has slowly stopped producing. I'm hopefull to be able to pull out a few more good relics or coins using the 5". Thanks again

Yep lower sens settings still give good depth and that little coil really gets down deep and seperates really well:drinking:
