:teknetics:Thursday hunt T2..Home torn down site.

Elton

New member
Off early..Saw a home site that had been torn down,,stopped was given permission to hunt..Hurried home. Picked up T2 and here are the results.

Have to say T2 has been very impressive..if your looking for a deep, excellent coin machine..Think about the T2.
No I do not work for First Texas.....

SIlver, Gun, and Wheat Cent............

Elton, maybe the new T2 will get you on a silver roll. I had one of the first T2's and it was a real nice detector for coins. I remember digging a silver quarter close to 10 inches deep. I sold it because there was no small coil for it. I liked the T2 better than the F75. It seemed to be less high strung. Good luck and keep us posted. R.L.

More of a coin machine than F75...............If my 5" DD coil ever gets here it should be great in trash areas too.
It's not really bad now with the 11" DD...................I know the F75 is a great machine. That's a given...But the T2 is in my opinion much better on coin targets
and rusty bottle caps..So far only a couple sneaked through the 40 iron discrimination setting. Depth does not seem to suffer either...Over all, and I have limited experience with T2
It would be advisable if anyone wants a great coin machine..L@@k at the T2. It doesn't miss many coins.

Nice going Elton! Looks like you and your T2 are getting along right out of the gate. What kind of depths are you getting coins at?

Mike

Sens set at either preset 60 or sometimes 72-75 around 8" on some, and 9" on memorial cent ??? real measure...........I haven't hunted any place yet that would have deeper coins unless it was a stray....I have raised the coil on a few and their depth reading in ground was 8" and at 12" coil held up higher the beep was still good and on some the Id jumped down a couple of notches..IE: Zinc cent read 66-67 and not consistent 68.. So I am pretty sure depth will not be a problem..I did notice if I raised the coil really high the ID screen stayed blank..but the high tone was very loud..I like the 3b setting. It knocks out most of the Rusty Bottle caps. I could not get rid of them with the F75...The T2 reads very few.......so far...in 3b setting...I also like the lay out on screw caps on the t2 most fall short of a good reading number...and you can check by taking coil up 18" or better and still get Id and tone on screw caps..so you don't dig many after a little learning curve..

I am really happy with the T2..........Great depth, good Id, and really light and easy to swing for hours if you want too.

Thanks a lot. I agree, the T2's prowess as a coin finder is underestimated. I hunt with a __________ but have been known to lurk around with Lisa's (shedigger's) T2 on occasion. I have used the 4 tones and 3b and like both. I believe the T2 can get the deep stuff with the best of them. I have nailed a few at 9-10" when running in higher sens. If you are able to get one, I highly recommend the small coil, it is DEADLY in the trash.

Hadn't really considered lifting the coil in the way you suggest. Will give it a shot.

HH and keep us posted!
Mike
