My hunting buddy and I were headed to the woods when we decided to check out a small patch of ground nearby the woodlands. Although no silver or gold came to light, we both dug a few curios, several tokens, numerous pieces of clad, 4 wheat cents for me, (19, 29, 32, & 47) and maybe a roll of Memorials, between us.

The 1st and 2nd picture shows the front and then the back of one of my tokens, "man in space." Don't think the Miller lock is all that old. I did dig what appears to be a Eagle coat button. It is getting a olive oil soak currently and maybe I can get a maker from the back. The buckle was all of 5" deep and appears to be brass. Except for being bent, it really is in pretty good shape. Anybody have any idea what it might represent? Don't know if that's a thunderbolt on the front or just the design.

Both Chris and I were swinging our A T Pro's today and we did have a jolly good time doing so. HH jim tn

Good digs.

Yes, keep them coming! I ALWAYS get some little tidbit of info from your posts. Like olive oil...I didn't know that. What all do you soak in it?

Pretty much anything metal for loosening the hard crud. It is a slow process. Soak for a few days and work on the crud with a tooth pick. I have had some I H cents that took up to a couple of months, but was able to get some nice detail and readable dates. HH jim tn
