I went to the woods today with a hunting buddy, Chris, to try find some silver coins. We meet another hunting buddy, Jim TN, as he was leaving. Jim found a silver quarter, but that's not usual for him. At any rate, no silver for me, but I did score a Indian Head Penny , 3 tokens, some old bullets, a horseshoe and a coin that I haven't identified yet. I ran the sensitivity at '10', the threshold at the 3:00 o'clock position, and the discrimination on 'iron'. Most of the targets were shallow with the Indian Head Penny being around 3 inches deep. It sounded like a screw cap. I'm glad that I didn't pass it by.
Chris found a 1920 wheat penny at 7 inches deep.
