I got out for a few hours this morning with the Golden

tabman.....

You are the man with the Midas touch, and the Golden

That confirms my video finding with the outlaw to find gold rings keep the disq all the way back, thats a great find , looks so nice in the dirt , all shiny

It's really not all that hard to find gold rings with the Golden

Wow!! The lack of dug trash is what really blows me away about your pics. The ring to pull tab ratio is mind blowing. Is there a reason you prefer notch narrow instead of wide though? I just thought wide opens up more possible gold targets, but your low trash ratio have me thinking way more pull tabs are eliminated in narrow.
Awesome hunt! You're the man with this machine.

Very nice.

Yep! Very nice Tabby! :clapping: Real good you posted the settings and show the plate of the rest of your finds too...a real world look at what hunting for gold looks like. Congratulations!

Awesome hunt! You're the man with this machine.

The notch switch is in the off position and I'm using minimum discrimination. I use the notch width control knob to adjust where the tones fall. I hear all targets.

I found the ring early in the hunt. You would have been really impressed at the tab to gold ring ratio if I had stopped to go home after I found it.

You need to look back at the weeks of pictures of the big piles of tabs and can slaw when there was no gold ring in the mix.

I'll say this, the Golden

Nice!
Nothing better than finding gold in any form, I say!
CongratZ!

Slingshot: I live in an area of mild soil too. I almost always can run at full sensitiviy. Changing coils has not had a noticible difference in the balance, and check this occasionally in all metal by bobing the coil, listening to change in threshold. I live is central Mississippi, 18 miles from the Alabama border. Other areas are not so blessed and I sure the ability to ground balance would be a real plus in those areas.
I sure there is an internal gound balance pot that can be adjusted (I set the balance for my Cibola for this area) but on the Golden I'm not sure if that would change the set points on the notch and without a definitive answer on that I'd be leary of going there.
