Tesoro service:detecting::clapping:

Okay...we recently saw a scorching review of Tesoro service and now it's time to tell a real and typical story of how the wheels normally turn.

Sent my Tejon and two coils back for repair. About three weeks later it was in my hands with broken wires repaired, new speaker, headphone jack, and toggle switch. One coil had a crack repaired and the other had to be re-tuned. (5.75 widescan cracked and 5.75 concentric re-tuned, they also sent me two new coil covers)

Got a nice note from Rusty and all through the process Robert was right on top of it...as a matter of fact the day they received my Tejon they started to work on it!

Only cost me $40 for $200 worth of repairs...(and I think that was a great deal especially since I had abused the unit)

Made in America...lifetime warranty...Need I say more?

Well wouldn't lifetime warranty be free and not $40? I'm not trying to be a smartass but isn't that what a lifetime warranty is?

You need to read our warranty.

Our lifetime warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original purchaser. The warranty excludes batteries, damage caused by leaky batteries, cable breakage due to flexing, wear of the searchcoil housing, and leakage cause by the condition of water seals on underwater detectors. Also excluded are instruments which have been abused, altered, or repaired by an unauthorized party.

Oh, I think what throws people off is the courtesy fixes you folks do sometimes. I remember reading a post where someone said they had leaned their detector against their vehicle and then forgot and drove away essentially running it over and they claimed it was fixed for free.

Let me clarify something...I ABUSED my detector and even did some unauthorized warranty voiding alterations...at that point Tesoro was not responsible for any repairs to my unit. $40 to fix damage that should have cost me much more was above and beyond the written warranty agreement.
