Tesoro still doing Golden µMAX tone updates?

Anybody know if Tesoro is still able to do the new tone updates to the Golden µMAX?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving....

There was a couple of posts awhile back regarding this.-----If memory serves--Tesoro said they were no longer doing the tone updates but were continuing to service/repair the Goldens that are out there (the Golden has been discontinued).------To be certain, best to call Tesoro though & ask them regarding the tone updates.

I was afraid of that, Thanks for the information. Will call Tesoro on Monday.

I'm happy as a lark that I have a Golden µMax with new tones. :) Not too many new tones ones in circulation. The one that have is from the factory with new tones, not one that was updated with new tones. On mine with the notch switch in the off position, I can move the tones around with the notch width knob. I keep it set up where a foil cap is just breaking into the iron tone and a beaver tail pull tab is breaking on the zinc and nickel tone. It seems to be somewhat deeper than my past regular tone one.

I have a feeling that the new detector to replace the Golden will have tones, VDI numbers and will detect as deep as the Vaquero and Tejon. whoopee:jump:

I hope no screen, just 2-3 tones would be perfect!
