Tesoro Vaquero Low vs. High tone...

Time might be right to try out the Vaquero. I believe the lower tone is standard, but have heard that many prefer to send it back to Tesoro to have it modified to the higher tone. Any comments from those who have heard both tones? Thanks

The stock tone isn't what I would call low, and I still prefer it. The high tone is something some will like or hear better, but it's a personal preference. I do not see one better than the other. The Vaquero is an excellent detector, and it loves buttons! Good hunting, David@Dixie

I'm glad to hear that the lower tone is good as well. And, BTW...How's that 'comet' coming along??
