Nice Nab, on the Cutlass II
I'd just stick with the 8" brown. I tried a widescan coil on mine one time and it went bonkers.
Big coil may work fine on yours but if it were me I'd just use the tried and true Donut.

Similar to the SSumax which I have two. The 8" donut will equal or slightly better the 8X9 spider coil in my tests. The 10X12 will give more coverage and an inch or two more depth at the expense of increased weight while you swing it. It MAY or not need to be balanced to the machine in order to avoid ground chatter. Depends on your soil. You just need to try it and see how it performs. Personally, I've found little use for the larger coils and prefer the standard and smaller for 95% of the detecting I do.
